Idealized Spleen

This piece is part of a group of models that were featured in a portal vein drainage animation. The spleen was created using the 3d modeling system known as NURBS. A series of cross-sectional curves were united with a continuous surface. The model was constructed from a group of sketches drawn from anatomy and surgery textbooks.
