These
illustrations are part of a two-page spread article about injuries to the lower
back. The figure is an original sketch drawn from photographs taken by myself
and colored using Adobe Photoshop 5.0. The enlarged vertebrae
were rendered in a similar fashion. The vertebrae within the figure are represented
schematically
to obtain a focal point.
